he Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Regulation has been updated to permit the use of Dechlorane Plus and UV-328 for specific industries, including aerospace, space, defense, medical imaging, and radiotherapy, until February 26, 2030.
Replacement parts and repairs for items originally made with Dechlorane Plus in these fields will be allowed until the product’s service life ends or December 31, 2044. UV-328 can also be used in land-based motor vehicles and industrial coatings until February 26, 2030.
These changes are part of ongoing efforts to regulate harmful pollutants, with a full impact assessment conducted by the government.
