The Cosmetic Toiletry and Perfumery Association (CTPA) has launched the Packaging Extended Producer Responsibility Task Force (pEPR TF) to champion the interests of the cosmetics and personal care industry in the evolving regulatory landscape.

Operating in full alignment with competition law, the task force is overseen by CTPA’s Sustainability Committee and Board of Directors.

The pEPR TF focuses on identifying and addressing key packaging-related challenges, promoting collaboration across the industry, and supporting active engagement with stakeholders.

Its primary aim is to ensure the industry’s voice is heard in discussions around Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for packaging, helping shape fair and effective policy outcomes.

Meetings are held virtually every two weeks. CTPA serves as both the Secretariat and Chair, ensuring structured coordination and leadership.

Companies may have multiple representatives on the task force, provided each brings distinct, relevant expertise to the table.

The task force plays a vital role in supporting CTPA and industry representatives in their interactions with policymakers, regulators, and other key stakeholders, ensuring that the sector’s views are clearly and consistently communicated.
