The RAPS Regulatory Intelligence Conference 2025 brought together some of the brightest minds in Regulatory Affairs—and was packed with insights, opportunities, and a clear sense of momentum in the industry. For us, it wasn’t just a conference—it was a reaffirmation of our mission to drive Regulatory transformation with intelligent, tech-first solutions.
From the outset, what stood out was the quality of attendees. The conference had a tight-knit atmosphere, attended by Regulatory professionals from leading global firms. Conversations were refreshingly open; attendees shared learnings, sought clarity, and leaned into the community for support.
1. AI Hype vs. Reality
Artificial Intelligence was, unsurprisingly, a hot topic. But beneath the buzz, discussions centered around how much AI is truly in use versus what still relies on manual effort. There was healthy scepticism of AI-powered tools, and everyone seemed to ask real questions about practical implementation and outcomes.
2. Public Tools vs. Paid Vendors
A recurring debate: Should companies invest in vendors or rely on free tools like Google Alerts and RSS feeds? While some favoured DIY approaches, others saw value in scalable, vendor-led, tech-first solutions that offer curated intelligence and actionable insights.
3. Structured Medical Statements (SMS)
SMS emerged as a key focus area, reflecting ongoing efforts to standardize Regulatory data and streamline global submissions.
4. The Accountability Dilemma
Many Regulatory professionals confessed to working in small teams with unclear mandates. Are they just responsible for sharing intelligence—or also for ensuring action is taken? This lack of clarity pointed to a broader need for process alignment and better tooling.
The conference kicked off with a roundtable workshop led by seasoned experts, Linda F. Bowen & Chris J. Whalley. Key insights included:
We had the chance to engage with competitors, who admitted that Freya.Intelligence is winning RFPs thanks to our end-to-end offerings. This honest moment reinforced our belief in our product strategy and execution.
Even more valuable were the customer conversations—workshop settings brought out more authentic feedback than typical sales calls. We heard directly about what users love, what they need, and where the market is headed. We’re more aware now, and already on our way to deliver what is the need of the hour!
Freya attracted attention for its intuitive UI and standout features like impact assessment, which sparked curiosity among attendees. While some questioned the depth of our AI, many were impressed by our roadmap and ability to deliver custom solutions quickly.
A key takeaway? Attendees wanted to know exactly how Freya.Intelligence fits into their world—whether they worked in QMS, PV, or Regulatory operations. Specificity matters.
